About Navrachana University

Navrachana University, Vadodara is a Private University established under the Gujarat Private University Act, 2009. The university has five schools with more than 22 programs. The University has been accredited with grade ‘A’ by NAAC in the year 2023.

School of Business and Law

The school os a largest one out of five schools at Navrachana and has BBA, MBA and the BBALLB program under it along with the MBA-Executive and LLM program. The Law program was established in 2014 and the Law Fest is organized as apart of celebration of achieving an important milestone of completing a decade.

About Verdictus 2024-2025

Verdictus is the first Law Fest organized by the School of Business and Law, with an aim to nurture legal intellect among budding professionals. Verdictus provides a dynamic platform for student participants to engage in  intellectual debates and test their capabilities of overcoming complex legal challenges.

The Law fest consists of 3 competitions, namely-

1. Moot Court Competition
2. Client Counselling Competition
3. Debate Competition

Mode

The Law Fest shall be conducted in a Hybrid mode.

Important Dates

• Preliminary round: 3^rd & 4^th January 2025 (ONLINE)
• Semi-final & Final round: 21st-22nd February 2025 (Offline)

Eligibility

Students from 5-year integrated Law programs and 3-year LLB programs from all recognized universities and institutions are eligible to participate. Teams are allowed to take part in ANY or ALL of the THREE competitions.

Moot Court Competition

1. Winner 21,000/-, Trophy & certificate
2. Runner-up: 12,000/-, Trophy & certificate
3. Best Mooter: 4500/- Trophy & certificate
4. Best memorial 4500/- Trophy & certificate

Client Counselling Competition

1. First prize: 15,000/-, Trophy & certificate
2. Second prize: 10,000/-, Trophy & certificate
3. Best speaker: 4500/-, Medal and Certificate

Debate Competition

1. First prize: 15,000, Trophy & certificate
2. Second prize: 10,000/-, Trophy and Certificate
3. Best speaker: 4500/-, Medal and Certificate

E-Certificate of Participation shall be given to all the registered participants.
